Today was moving day. Empty the compost pile – and make room for more yard waste. Move the finished compost to the holding bin.
Empty one of the evaluation beds. And start moving the 2011 evaluation plants into the newly emptied bed.
And now continue to catch up on the pictures from this summer. Now that I have found this picture I will need to find the plant. It is now on the list to move to the evaluation bed.
What a beautiful daylily! That is one of my favorite shades of pink! Thanks for brightening my day with it. Blessings, Natalie
You are welcome. Glad you enjoy it !
That is quite a mountain to move!
Not too bad. I take my time and it is not so bad a work out. Rather be out in the garden than doing something else. And it was the perfect day for it !
Thanks for your comment !
I, too, have been flat out in our (incredibly dry) garden for the last week. Today the rain finally came, but there is still so much to do.
Glad you got some rain. We were very dry up until last weekend. Right now the ground here has had enough time to absorb all the rain we got and it is perfect for digging. I still have a bit of catching up to do too. Hope you do catch up. Thanks for your comment hilary !
Had rain, 2, 3 days in a row, ended up sinking the pots wherever there was space, will plant them out come spring. Working instead on front yard area, only the corner between sidewalks today, planted some of the extra potted DLs there, dug one and divided it. Got 5 nice division, 2 were mini clumps that went back into the bed, then trees into pots, two were smallish, one decent, Dug a second one , divided it to share with Amy and my div will go over into the field bed, somewhere.
Prepped planting pans for the TB Iris seeds, will sow those next month.
John you much send that hideous pink thing to me! I can hide it in the field bed where it can’t be seen by any of the higher up AHS peeps! All joking aside that is a beautiful blue-pink! Would love something like that to play with! Movement is sweet too!
I just hope I find that one. My notes have me a little confused. Pretty sure now it is one of the GM8 x Smoke Scream kids. More plant moving tomorrow. Sounds like you have been very busy !
