playing with adult crayons

maybe i should have said very big kid crayons.  and in the garden.  give me any two daylilies and sometimes you get the color you dreamed off.  and other times you get anything except what you expected.  more often even if it is close it is still a surprise.  this is Volcan Fuego x Africa.  or in very big kid lingo orange and black – or as close to black as any garden daylily ever hopes to be.  here is one of those seedlings….  parents first then the seedling.
