mother nature was here.  she planted this seed.  i found it a year ago looking for the first daylily of the season.  this year it took a little longer.  it started out hiding under Siloam Doodlebug.  so we will guess the seed fell there and Siloam Doodlebug is one of the parents.  feel free to check with mother nature and the bee to see where the pollen came from.  this is what greeted me this morning.  three images…

      She does ! Considering that the one probable parent is not a double. And the number of doubles here in the garden you could count on one hand – she does very very good work.

      Clare – I am very pleasantly surprised with this one. This is the first bloom this year. Will have to watch it for consistency and generally see how it behaves.
