dusting

tonight’s flower has a dusting.   the base color of the flower is yellow.  and the sepals particularly have a dusting of red.  some of that dusting even creeps onto the edge of petals.  and it helped me find my place in the garden.  and remember the name of yesterday’s flower – Custard Candy.  three images of Unique Style…

      The camera will often intensify some aspect of the flower. However in this case I think what looks like chartreuse is actually the play of light creating a shadow in the throat. There are some other daylilies that carry the green in the throat out even into the eyezone. Unique Style is not one of them. Glad you enjoy it !
