this is Skinwalker. it is a beautiful flower. unfortunately northern ohio winters and this flower don’t always get along. the plant has been here for several years. two winters ago it survived. except it was not gracefully. after that winter the plant looked like grass and did not bloom that summer. this summer after a little tlc it came back and did what it does best. now i gotta go look for my socks…

Not nearly as dainty as Skinwalker, two of our three very hardy Just Plum Happy daylilies did not do well this year. Have never had that happen before, but I suppose it was inevitable as the numbers of lilies in our small garden grew. Hoping for a comeback next year. It would be a shame to lose them.
