this one was blooming today. it just started blooming. other daylilies have been blooming for about a month. the mid season ones are blooming now. what kinda surprised me is how this one managed to be orange. one of the parents follows. the other parent is a bright yellow. one of these days i just might figure out how this works…

Thanks Lauren. I will go with that description. Though there are moments of disappointment too. The weather patterns do a good job of confusing some of the plants. It can cause some plants to grow lower or higher than expected from one year to the next. Or have them bloom earlier or later than expected. There has been a little of all of that the last few years. And still I will go with the amazing description. The flowers continue to surprise me. Glad you are enjoying them.
