some of these blooms don’t say it. they just do it. while they are sneaking up they are a skinny green bud. and in many cases i never see them coming until they are there. this flower is on a mini plantlet. they grow out of the bracts on a daylily scape. it is a set of leaves that can also have a bloom. And given the proper conditions they can sprout roots and make a full size plant. this one has only a single flower. surprise…
