this seedling comes from a grower in the dayton ohio area. his seedling survived covid. there are two images. one in gray scale and one in what the vast majority of us would call full spectrum. except that is almost accurate. flowers do not perceive color in any way that we are aware. so how is it they possess ultra-violet pigment. a color we cannot see yet bees can see ? this is a full petal round form daylily. my hope is to take its patterns to skinny star shaped daylilies. and as the daylily embarks on this journey i wonder what are the possibilities ? are my perceptions missing some details ? while its is in my garden my perceptions will remind me of bob…
