first blooms

each summer something special happens. seeds that were planted a year or two ago stop being just leaves. they stop being only green. they send up flowers. new flowers that are a little different from the flowers that grew before them. seeing new flowers and choosing the next cross with that flower allows gardeners to set new boundaries in the garden. today we have daylilies in so many shapes, colors, and heights. we have daylilies moving in lots of different directions…
