first bloom

this one opened today. it will spend one more summer in the seedling bed to grow. with this look it should be selected for further observation.

      It is a two year old seedling. It has a few more years of observation to pass the test for naming. Though based on the first bloom it has a fairly good chance to get a name. Glad you enjoy it. I certainly do.

        I love Daylilies now. There’s a place near here that has been in the daylily, etc. business for years, and is now selling out. My present lily population came from there. I’d visit, but probably end up spending the electric bill on dayliles! 🙂

        That would be a choice between seeing the light and seeing the other light. Glad you enjoy them. It might not be safe to visit tempting though it might be. Choose wisely.

        My original Lily collection came from there, I’d never had them before. Except the “wild” ones that grow by the roadways. I see a few lilies from those originally by the septic tank, maybe I’ll move them. or not.
