most flowers live in the light. so for the moment i will skip the nocturnals. and when i share daylilies besides looking at the daylily i am looking at the light. sometimes it is not the best light. full sun hides as much as it reveals. the glare is not the flower. it may be one of the reasons insects use ultra violet light to navigate their way around flowers. clouds and other objects, early morning and early evening light can provide moments when there is just enough light to illuminate without over powering what we want to see. this flower is in one of those moments…

beautiful – early morning and early evening light are the best
They are. And I am missing them already. There are just a few flowers left and when it is not raining I am digging to move plants around for next summer.
yes! gorgeous colors
subtle and gorgeous. Thanks Gradmama…
Nice touch.
It must be pure luck to go with the pure light…
Worked.
Another one hits me into the colours, Thank you, Love, nia
You are welcome nia !
And any time there is purple in the surround, extra treat!
The larkspur self seeds all over the place. And continues to do so through the summer. We just pull it away when when it gets too much. And that would be massively in the early summer.
