space – as they say in those scifi shows is the final frontier. and it is the same in gardens. sometimes that is difficult to remember when planting a new flower. and painful to remember when they crowd together and only a few bloom very well. so the task the last couple of years is fixing and avoiding that situation. this one Purple Satellite got a little more room to breathe and stretch out the last couple of years. the change has been worth it all 9 inches 22.8 cm of it …

Although I generally prefer the fatter petals, this one looks like a star.
When we started out they were all wide petals. And all wide got a bit boring at least for me. Now we have a mix. One that is titled slightly the other way. Enjoy what you enjoy roberta there is nothing wrong with that. Thanks
it’s beautiful and elegant
This coming summer it should be blooming at clump strength with 5 or 10 scapes blooming all at once. I will have to get a picture of it like that. Glad you enjoy it beth. Thanks
Looks like it’s dancing a jig! Lovely as always.
Thanks Pam. As long as it does not trample any of the other flowers it can dance away !
Texas has a lot of room, John
It does John. It does. It also has a lot of heat and not so much water. I will deal with the situation I know. Not to mention the entire circus of moving hundreds of daylilies. I have heard those stories and do not want to be one. Moving a garden is one of those tasks where you hire Sean Bean to say “One does not simply walk into Mordor…” I will skip the trial by combat and just pour the three fingers…
Nice to know you have an iron will. Or is it three finger will? I get confused.
Confusion is often an accompanying condition for three finger will.
I’ve heard that.
