can a daylily be described in a haiku ?
can the color and light be forced into a line ?
can it all be subjected to brevity ?
or have four questions dragged us one line too far ?
just enough haiku
a north east ohio garden
an ongoing experiment in the dirt, 35 plus years

What a great photo. A Haiku might restrict the description of the beauty but here goes.
The dawn brings new life,
Vibrant blooms, hard to describe . . .
And only one day.
There is a daylily named ‘Ready for My Close Up’. I need to work on posting more images a step back no matter how much it pains me to do so. Obviously the step back is just as inspiring. I like the haiku John. I think three lines would take me six hours. 8)
From what I’ve seen from the poets I follow, John, anything can be described in a haiku.
