yes yesterday’s flower was purple too. no that is where the similarity pretty much ends. yesterday’s flower is tetraploid. it has twice as many chromosomes. today’s flower is diploid and it only has 22 chromosomes. so if it looks similar it is doing it with only half as many genes. though in my book it is still doing just as good a job…
