another muddle

another cold winter night.  looking for a picture to share.  looking for a flower to share.  looking to keep me confused.  must be the cold.  though the confusion is clearing.  the pictures/flowers all around it are in the keeper bed.  so it is moved and saved for a few more years.  and i was worried it was lost somewhere in the garden.  time to take a sed-a-give and finish the post.  three images and a deep sigh…  share the flower not the paranoia !

wonder

off season wonder.  i see the picture.  and i wonder.  the tag is there.  is there a flag ?  will there be room for the flowers that are flagged ?  when i sit and look at the flowers and wonder dreams these are not the things i think.  however it eventually comes down to this.  there are usually a handful of flowers that are flagged and there is very little doubt.  the rest are in that nebulous gray area – the one where i wonder if they will get lost in the jumble.  then again that would be the garden.  just a little more convoluted than the pretty flowers look.  so here is the wonder of tonight.  three images…  and the cross , a little more decoded and less wonder 13-121 10-014 Prague Spring x Gift Tie ) x Katy’s Blue

seedling

a bright yellow green throat, a narrow somewhat faint purple eye zone and a creamy slightly pink base petal color, that begins the description of this seedling.  compliment that with long open form petals, and some twist and movement in those petals.  and add just a touch of ruffling along the edge of the petals.  it makes a fairly accurate description of this seedling.  the cross is Prague Spring x Gift Tie.  two images..

something with a twist

This is a seedling.  A cross of another seedling and a plant call Purple Satellite.  One gave it the twist and the other the long and skinny.  Altogether not a bad combination for a new seedling.  12-059 10-014 Prague Spring x Gift Tie ) x Purple Satellite  –  and now the the pretty.

find a picture and wake up from a dream…

This is a seedling that just started blooming this year.  It will be selected for further observation.  It is a cross of several favorite flowers.  11-069 Gift Tie x Prague Spring) x Orchid Lady Slipper  If this flower eventually grows into one with a bloom scape like Orchid Lady Slipper well I will have to pinch myself again and again to make sure I am not dreaming.  As it is now the flower itself does a very good job of bringing about this same effect.
