this one has been here a while. there are enough seedlings with its heritage to prove it. it is registered as an 8 inch 20 cm flower. with all the rain we have been having the last several years it has been blooming bigger. the scape is 37 inches 94 cm. it is one of my favorites. and there are lots of new seedlings to try it on this coming summer…

or drift off to sleep.  okay so the cherished blog fest is fested for another year.  it was fun and now it is time for another picture.  why ?   the daylilies still bloom.  the hour glass of daylily season is running down.  so the bloom in the yard will get sparser and sparser.  in the mean time i might just enjoy the remaining, unfolding, and opening flowers one day at a time.  this is a seedling of Pygmy Plum x Flying Carpet ) x Poultry In Motion.  it is drifting in one of my favorite directions – a nice open star form.  and that is enough yacking.  let’s switch to looking instead.  three images…

there is that other letter,  the one for Poultry In Motion.  a large yellow flower.  it is registered at 8 inches 20.5 cm and often i do believe it is even bigger.  no matter it is a bright spot in the garden that is hard to miss.  four images…

supposed to be

there are…  there are supposed to be bugs in the garden.  it is called nature.  they are not always pretty and they are sometimes difficult.  and they can leave bruises on the flowers and wot not.  and they give the toads something to eat.  so they are supposed to be.  now as for this flower 14-066 12-0622-001 orange spider) x Poultry In Motion.  first year of bloom.  stand back and watch good things may come.  bugs and all.  two images…

waking before midnight

most nights this the course – drift off and then drift back.  then again i had something big to pull me back tonight.  this is the image that greeted me this morning – as i rushed off to the day.  it was big.  is big.  and i hoped when i returned i would get a picture.    yes.    the four AM rain did not hurt it.  fairly sure it open after the rain.   two images of Poultry In Motion – followed by two more images of Isolde…

to put this in scale – it is about a 10 inch – 25.5 cm bloom.

and it opens flat as a dinner plate.  no trumpting, so there is as much front view of the flower as you can hope for.
