it is starting

i walked the yard yesterday. lots of fresh green growth. the columbine have flower stalks with large buds just days away from blooming. the early daffodils are done. and the second flush are rapidly fading. the miniature iris are in bloom. so i checked the species daylily in the warm micro clime. the southern facing brick brick porch provides a perfect spot to hurry things along. hiding in the shadows are two plump daylily buds looking like they are only a couple or so days away from blooming. this could be the earliest they have bloomed. these species plants will bloom for about two weeks. and then the rest of the daylilies will join in. and the giggling of the garden fairies will be out of control…
