there are children from this plant here in the garden. at least half a dozen. this is the diploid version with 22 chromosomes. the tetraploid version sits on the opposite side of the garden. there are some tet kids too. and the more i think of it there are crosses i have not made that should be made. i am still in that early summer folder. not even july. i need to save some pollen from both versions of this flower and use it on the mid seasons and late bloomers. something exciting might happen…
